According to data from the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vinatex), especially in the month 6/2016, the total import value of raw materials, including cotton, fibers, fabrics, accessories as 1.545 billion, up 4% the same period.
Of the total $ 8.3 billion spent to import raw materials of all kinds, the import spending serves as exports at 6.52 billion dollars, up nearly 2% over the same period, increasing its trade surplus textile and garment industry in the first half to $ 6.1 billion, up 8.2%.
The largest import items of textile industry in the first half through the fabric, the import value reached USD 5.15 billion, up 3.5%, followed by materials close to $ 1.6 billion, fibrous fiber 762 million, 802 million imported cotton.
